Unraveling the Mysteries - Your Burning Questions Answered
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test commonly required for admission to graduate programs, including master’s and doctoral degrees, in various disciplines.
The GRE consists of three main sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections are multiple-choice, while the Analytical Writing section requires you to write essays.
The total testing time for the GRE is approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, including breaks. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections are each 60 minutes long, and the Analytical Writing section is 60 minutes long as well.
The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections are scored on a scale of 130 to 170, in one-point increments. The Analytical Writing section is scored on a scale of 0 to 6, in half-point increments.
GRE scores are valid for five years from the date of the test.
Yes, you can take the GRE multiple times. However, it is important to note that some universities consider the most recent or highest scores, while others may consider all scores.
Yes, you have the option to cancel your GRE scores. However, it’s important to carefully consider the decision, as canceled scores will not be reported to you or any institutions. You must make the cancellation request on the test day before leaving the testing center.
